This policy explains what information ScaffoldCalculators.com collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. The site is operated by P. G. Kosatko (“we”, “us”). You can contact us at any time at info@scaffoldcalculators.com.
Information we collect
Calculator inputs. Values you enter are processed in your browser to show results and are never sent to us. Some calculators remember your last inputs in your browser’s local storage, so your work is still there when you come back. This stays on your device.
Messages you send us. If you email us, we receive your email address and message and use them only to reply.
Usage and device data. Our hosting provider, Framer, records standard technical information such as pages visited, browser and device type, approximate location derived from your IP address, and the referring website. We see this only as anonymous, aggregated visitor statistics, which are collected without cookies.
Support payments. If you choose to buy me a coffee, you leave this website and the payment is handled by Buy Me a Coffee under its own privacy policy. We receive only the name and message you decide to share, never your payment details.
Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. This website does not show advertising and does not use advertising, analytics or other tracking cookies, which is why you do not see a cookie banner. The only storage used is:
Strictly necessary storage, used by our hosting provider to deliver the site securely and reliably.
Calculator memory. The Beam Check and TG20 Platform Checker save your last inputs in your browser’s local storage so they are not lost when you reload the page. This data stays on your device and is never sent to us.
Because this storage is strictly necessary or needed for features you use, no consent is required. You can delete it at any time in your browser settings. If we ever add non-essential cookies, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy.
Legal basis for processing (UK and EU visitors)
We rely on our legitimate interest in running, securing and improving the website for basic technical data, and on your request when we reply to a message you send us.
Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal data. Information is shared only with service providers that help run the site: our website hosting provider (Framer) and our email provider. If you choose to support the site, Buy Me a Coffee processes your payment. Some of these providers may process data outside the UK or EEA; where they do, appropriate safeguards are used.
How long we keep information
Emails are kept only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry. Calculator inputs saved in your browser stay on your device until you clear them.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its use, and to data portability. To make a request, email info@scaffoldcalculators.com. If you are in the UK, you can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Children
This website is intended for professionals and students and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
